“Residency and Foreigners Affairs – Dubai” honors 466 of its human resources and customers

The General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai honored 466 of its human resources and customers, in recognition of their effective and influential efforts in enriching the work environment through their pioneering and innovative ideas that contributed to triggering positive competition among cadres.
The honouring took place at the annual ceremony for innovation, organized by Dubai Residency at the Mohammed bin Rashid Library, in the presence of Lieutenant General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, Director General of the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai, and staff from the categories that were honored along with several employees.
The honouring ceremony witnessed the participation of sectors and departments that achieved high scores and indicators in their fields of work, and included the owners of applied ideas, the owners of intellectual property rights, graduates of the Creators Care Diploma, contributors to institutional knowledge activities, and the Creativity Steps Committee.
Dubai Residency culminated in its innovations with a distinguished participation in the 48th Annual Geneva International Conference on Inventions, where it won the silver medal for the security invention “Smart Security Laboratory”. It also obtained, through the invention itself and the “Proactive Indicator System for Monitoring Violators”, two certificates and two gold medals from the University King Abdul Aziz and two gold medals from the Scientific Foundation for Inventions – Portugal.
During the ceremony, First Lieutenant Khalaf Rashid Al-Ghaith, Head of the Innovation Department, and Warrant Officer Amer Saeed Al-Jabri, responsible for the Innovators’ Care Branch, were honored for security projects aimed at reducing international risks and exposing violators and counterfeiters, who participated in the Geneva Conference, for their contribution to winning the Geneva Conference’s invention awards.
His Excellency Lieutenant General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri said: “The annual celebration of innovation includes many goals that are in line with the strategy of Dubai Residency and its endeavors aimed at fostering passion, motivation, initiative to innovate, and presenting pioneering ideas.”
His Excellency stressed the importance of tapping into potentials, exerting more efforts, and employing the gains, capabilities and support in the paths of continuous development, which leads to achieving the goals and aspirations of the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai, to fulfil its aspirations, and enhance its position and its leading role in supporting the sustainable development process. At the same time, he commended the distinguished participation of Dubai Residency in the annual Geneva conference for inventions and enlarging its credit with international awards.
