His Excellency Ali Muhammad Al Shamsi, Chairman of the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Ports Security, issued a decision to reshuffle the Youth Council in the Authority. According to the decision, the council has as a Chairwoman First Lieutenant Al Mughirah Mohammed Al Shehi, and First Lieutenant Rashid Hay Salem Al Kaabi as Vice-Chairman, with the membership of 13 young employees who represent the various departments of the Authority.
The decision to reshuffle the Youth Council aims to enable the Authority’s youth to contribute to the decision-making process, capacity building, design and implementation of operations and service provision, and to respond to the requirements of the current stage and build the future by presenting creative and innovative ideas, as well as providing the opportunity for the largest possible number of young people to learn and acquire leadership skills, the transfer of knowledge and expertise and access to the best experiences and practices.
Based on the directives of the visionary leadership of the UAE, we are keen to empower the young employees of the Authority, and to provide them with a work environment that incubates, attracts and motivates them to be productive, to work and excel. They are the potential energy and the source of achievement and excellence in the Authority, so we always strive to give them full opportunity to contribute to the development process and achieve the desired goals.
According to the decision, the Youth Council, with its new formation, is responsible for activating the role of youth in the work system by developing operational plans that support and achieve the strategic goals of the Authority related to the youth strategy in the government, and proposing specific plans, initiatives, projects, activities, and conferences that contribute to empowering youth, and enhancing their role in the process of building and development adopted by the Authority. The council shall also tap into the potential of the Authority’s young employees and direct them to achieve the desired goals, and therefore upgrade the institutional culture, represent the Authority in local, regional and international youth forums, and coordinate and cooperate with the relevant and competent authorities in the country.
