ICA’s Academy launches the Vocational Diploma Program in Human Resources Management

A Program certified by NQA containing three main modules

The Emirates Identity and Citizenship Academy announced today the launch of “the Vocational Diploma Program in Human Resources Management”. This is the first certified vocational diploma program to be rolled out at ICA’s level, with a view to providing its employees with the best aspects of knowledge and practical skills, contributing to developing their abilities, enhancing their knowledge, and promoting their performance to reach the best levels.

The Program certified by the National Qualifications Authority (NQA) includes three main modules, Health and Safety, Communication and Social Responsibility, and Citizenship, as well as six specialized modules in the field of Human Resources.

The Program consists of 10 continuous modules with a total duration of 36 certified hours, along with a seven-month practical training.

Twenty female and male trainees of ICA’s employees were enrolled in the first batch of the Program.

Col. Khamis Mohamed Al Kaabi, executive director of the support services sector in ICA, Col. Mohamed Saeed Al Amari, the Academy Manager and Lt. Col. Thoibit Fahd Al Otaibi, President of the Faculty of Training and Capacity Building in the Academy, attended the Program launch.

After the opening ceremony, Col. Al Kaabi highlighted ICA’s keenness on qualifying its employees and providing them with the academic and practical training. Thus, it would become an experience hub attracting the distinguished national competences to make the future leaders. This will also motivate them to innovate and assume their role as national human resources supporting sustainable development in the State.

He added that ICA always encourages its employees to learn continuously, and focuses on the methodological training to enhance the values of creativity, responsibility and teamwork, in accordance with a plan drawn upon enabling employees to identify their annual needs of training courses. Accordingly, these will be included in the plan implemented in cooperation with the academic and practical institutions in accordance with the most advanced training and development of global techniques.

On his part, Col. Al Amari, the Academy Director, confirmed that the Program is a part of a scientific, which focuses on the recent practical training techniques for implementing the Program including, a simulated working environment, interactive workshops, benchmarking, brainstorming sessions, and dialogue with more focus on the practical aspect.

He further added that the Vocational Diploma Program in Human Resources Management is largely focused on building the skills of ICA’s employees and training them on problem-solving, decision making, dealing with others, creativity, and innovation. The program also aims at enhancing and developing their experiences, knowledge, and abilities, as well as enabling them to effectively inform its approach to achieve institutional excellence, depending on the best global practices, technological applications, electronic knowledge sources, training and learning materials, specialized periodicals and other learning sources.
