Governance Committee approves final financial statements for 2011

The Corporate Governance Committee at the Emirates Identity Authority has approved the final financial statements of account for 2011. It was also briefed on the developments of the Emirates Identity Authority’s financial performance and the progress achieved in reducing costs and expenses.

H.E. Dr. Eng. Ali Mohamed Al Khouri, Emirates ID Director General, called on the committee members to familiarize all the departments, sections and centers with the concepts and principles of corporate governance within a framework that would ensure transparency and justice for all the Emirates Identity Authority’s dealings with the employees and the public.

While presiding over the regular meeting of the committee which was held at the Emirates Identity Authority’s headquarters in Abu Dhabi yesterday, Al Khouri underscored the importance of re-forming the standing committees at the Emirates Identity Authority by selecting distinguished members to discharge their tasks in the best way and seek to achieve the best practices.

The meeting discussed a number of agenda topics for which appropriate decisions and recommendations were made.
