Excellence Award for Emirates ID Acting General Manager

Eng. Dr. Ali Mohammad Al-Khouri: “this achievement was inspired by the UAE wise leadership”. Emirates ID is currently participating in the 3-day ID World Conference which opened in Milano yesterday.

Eng. Dr. Ali Mohammad Al-Khouri, Emirates ID Acting General Manager, was nominated for the Excellence Award in identity applications which is one of the most important ID World Conference awards allocated to individuals, institutions and entities with achievements in ID card technologies.

During the honoring ceremony held yesterday evening at Milano Major Conference Hall, the Conference’s Organizing Committee announced that the award is a token of gratitude and appreciation for the Al-Khouri’s distinguished efforts in the identity applications field, and clear recognition of the Emirates ID’s pioneering and effective role and its perseverant attempts to upgrade services provided to nationals and residents through the adoption of futuristic approach to what the electronic ID Card technology can offer.

H.E. Dr. Al-Khouri dedicated the Award to the UAE wise leadership affirming that this achievement could not have been possible without the support provided to UAE national cadres encouraging them to pursue their higher education opportunities. According to Al-Khouri, it was this support and encouragement that provided him and Emirates ID with the chance to be honored at that international conference which is attended by some of the most reputable ID card technology scientists, experts and researchers from all over the world.

Dr. Al-Khouri added that the actual laureate is all Emirates ID staff indicating that he is part of the team which witnessed the establishment of the Authority and are currently continuing their duties and responsibilities to help Emirates ID deliver its message and realize its vision with the aim of implementing all strategic projects currently underway, on top of which is the Population Register & ID system.

Concerning Emirates ID participation in Milano Conference, Dr. Al-Khouri said Emirates ID, supported by H.E. Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Interior, and Vice-Chairman of Emirates ID, was keen to participate in the activities of this international conference held on an annual basis with the aim of exchanging experiences with participating delegations which include some of the best ID technology scientists, experts and researchers in the world. The Conference is also attended by some international top-notch suppliers and providers of ID card technology solutions.

H.E. Emirates ID General Manager said that the Authority is participating in the Conference through its delegation which consists of Eng. Nasser Mohammad Al Mazroui, Executive Director of Communications and Information Systems, and Mr. Yousif Al Dhaibi Al Kitbi, Customer Service Director. Emirates ID delegation will take part in all events, workshops and seminars organized on the sidelines of the Conference among of which is the exhibition in which many major international companies participate. He indicated that the Authority’s distinguished pavilion attracted much interest from participants and visitors.

Excellence Awards are granted on an annual basis to distinguished individuals who played an effective role in the knowledge revolution community and stood out from among the crowd due to their leadership, innovation and creativity in the ID applications field. The Award is granted under the auspices of ID People magazine in the following categories: ID Community Award, Leadership Award, Distinguished Identity Award, Glaring Example Award and Distinguished Achievement Award.
