Emirates ID’s Higher Management Committee discusses 2013 estimated budget

The Higher Management Committee at the Emirates Identity Authority has reviewed the Emirates ID’s estimated budget for 2013 as well as the details of the expected revenues and expenses and the observed financial mechanisms and policies.

The committee’s meeting was presided over by H.E. Dr. Eng. Ali Mohamed Al Khouri, Emirates ID Director General, who instructed that a committee for rationalizing spending be formed and that diligent efforts be exerted to achieve the Emirates Identity Authority’s objectives at the least cost possible in line with the Cabinet’s directives that stressed the necessity for the federal entities to rationalize their spending and list their financial priorities in accordance with the social needs.

During the meeting, which was held at the Emirates Identity Authority’s head office in Abu Dhabi yesterday and attended by the Emirates ID’s executive directors and the financial management and internal verification team, the committee reviewed the Emirates ID’s expected expenses as part of the estimated budget for next year. The expenses included salaries, wages, allowances and ID card issuance expenses in addition to the operating expenditures and the projects planned to be carried out in 2013.

The committee underlined that the upcoming stage of the Emirates Identity Authority’s process of development would need efforts to be combined and energies to be mobilized so as to contribute to achieving the Emirates ID’s strategic objectives including the registration of all UAE nationals and residents in the ID card and population register as part of the strategic plan 2010-2013.
