As part of its ongoing endeavor to upgrade its services, the Emirates Identity Authority is continuing to send a collection of SMS to all applicants and customers in which it either advises them of the printing status of their ID cards, or requesting them to track the delivery of these cards, or reminding them of the forthcoming expiry of the cards and of the necessity to renew them.
The Emirates Identity Authority is currently sending SMS in both Arabic and English to all its customers which signify that their ID cards have already been printed and include some information that helps them track the receipt of their cards from the courier company.
The Emirates Identity Authority is also sending SMS to its customers 30 days before the expiry of their ID cards to advise them of the date of expiry of the cards and remind them of the necessity to renew them by visiting the nearest printing office.
The Emirates Identity Authority sent a total of 1,915,777 SMS to 822,325 customers between February 22 and June 6.
