The Executive Committee, chaired by H.E. Mohammed Ahmed Al Bawardi, Secretary General of Abu Dhabi Executive Council, listened during its meeting held on Wednesday, October 5, at Abu Dhabi 0Identity Authority’s projects and strategic plans.
H.E. Dr. Eng. Ali Mohamed Al Khouri, Emirates ID Director General, made a presentation titled “Supporting and Developing the Government Sector and Growth in the UAE”, in which he reviewed the Emirates Identity Authority’s new strategy 2010-2013 and the most outstanding projects and initiatives currently being implemented by the Emirates Identity Authority.
The presentation clarified the Emirates Identity Authority’s vision, mission and objectives that it seeks to achieve as embodied in registering all the population, developing an infrastructure, activating the ID card applications and updating the corporate systems.
Through his presentation, Al Khouri reviewed the Emirates Identity Authority’s operating model at the short and medium terms as well as the long term, by which the Emirates Identity Authority aims at registering the population, providing qualitative services for ID identification and authentication and carrying on the transformation process in the Emirates Identity Authority’s major services.
Meanwhile, the presentation explained and clarified the most outstanding projects that are currently being implemented by the Emirates Identity Authority including linkage with preventive medicine, development of electronic certification center, activation of the memorandum of understanding with the health sector in Abu Dhabi and a number of other strategic projects of direct relation with supporting and developing the government sector and growth in the UAE.
