Emirates ID is considering Connection of Services with Abu Dhabi Municipality

H.E Khalifa Al Mazrouei, the General Director of Abu Dhabi Municipality (ADM) received a delegation from the Emirates Identity Authority (Emirates ID) headed by Dr. Eng. Ali Mohamed Al-Khouri, Emirates ID’s Acting General Director.

The two parties discussed the application of the ID Card on all ADM’s transactions and connection of ADM’s services with such card due to the benefits resulting from such application in terms of saving the time of the authority’s auditors and enabling them to achieve all transactions at the shortest possible time.

Emirates ID’s Acting General Director Dr. Ali Mohamed Al-Khouri emphasized the fact the Authority is keen to implement the ID card and connect it with the various governmental and relevant authorities with the aim of facilitating transactions and as a preliminary step for integrated connection with the e-government.

He indicated that the connection of services with ADM is being carried out pursuant to Federal Law 9 of 2009 concerning the Population Register & Identity Card System in terms of internal procedures and connecting internal systems including systems of verification and reading ID data by machines.

On his part, H.E Khalifa Al Mazrouei, ADM’s General Director stated that he wishes the expected connection with the ID card system and its application to the services provided by ADM to help saving time and effort, particularly when entering data of the service applicants and reading thier ID data.

He referred to the fact that the accuracy of the data read by machines and direct connection of such data with the requested transaction through the ID card will participate in advancing the level of service provided by ADM for all its customers.

The meeting has been attended by Mr. Mohammed Al Marer, Customer Service Department Manager and Mr. Owaidah Al Qobaisi from Abu Dhabi Municipality; and H.E. Mohamed Al Khuyaili, Executive Director of the Registration Centers, Administrative Affairs and Relations and H.E. Nasser Al Mazrouei, Executive Director of Communications & Information Systems from the Emirates Identity Authority.
