The Emirates Identity Authority has called upon the families who lived in Al Baker Tower 4 and who lost their National Identity Cards due to a fire in the building recently, which is located in Al Taawun Area of Sharjah, to visit registration centres for the re-issuance of the ID cards or to apply for new registration for free upon the instruction of Lieutenant General Sheikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister for Interior and Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of Emirates Identity Authority.
Eida said that the initiative of Sheikh Saif is aimed at supporting the affected families who lost all their belongings in the fire. Each member of the affected family can get identity cards and avail benefits provided by the governmental organisations since it is considered as a reliable formal document to prove the personal identification in the country.
Eida stressed their commitment to help the affected families and asked them to visit Sharjah registration centre at Al Rahmania or Ajman registration centre to apply for the new national identity cards or for the replacement of the cards without paying fees. Eida promised to finish the process to deliver the cards as soon as possible.
