Archives’ Executive Director Visits Emirates ID Stand at GITEX 2016

H.E. Majid Sultan Al Mehairi, the National Archives’ Executive Director, has visited the Emirates ID Authority Stand at GITEX Technology Week 2016 to review the latest projects, systems and smart programs and services offered by the Emirates ID Authority to customers.
HE Al Mehairi was briefed by Dr. Sabri Al Azazi, Director of Central Operations Sector at the Emirates ID Authority, on the Authority’s latest smart services and how customers (individuals or entities) can benefit from these services. Dr. Al Azazi also demonstrated the services that can be received through the smart ID card which can be used as alternative for other identification documents.
HE Al Mehairi was given a presentation on the near field communication ID reader hich enables mobile phones or tablets to read the smart chip embedded in the ID card. This gives the entities and authorities of different business areas an advanced, easy-to-use tool to read the data stored in the ID card chip and upload the data on the systems and programs they use within few seconds.
