The Business Continuity Management Policy includes the following commitments:
Define and document ICP's business continuity development, implementation, maintenance, and testing processes.
Ensure that ICP's Business Continuity Management processes are aligned with the international standard ISO 22301 and the UAE National Business Continuity Management Standard issued by the National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority (AE/SCNS/NCEMA/7000/2021).
Conduct Business Impact Analyses (BIA) to establish priorities and recovery objectives for ICP's critical operations.
Assess threats and identify their nature and characteristics, particularly those that may disrupt ICP's critical operations or core services.
Develop a Business Continuity and Emergency, Crisis, and Disaster Recovery Strategy based on the defined recovery objectives for critical operations and obtain approval from ICP's designated Business Continuity Management authority.
Provide the resources necessary to implement the Business Continuity Programme.
Develop and obtain approval for Business Continuity Plans from the relevant General Directorates and departments to minimise the impact of disruptions arising from emergencies, crises, and disasters.
Develop and approve Crisis Management Plans, Emergency Response Plans, and Media Response Plans.
Develop and approve Recovery Plans and procedures for restoring critical operations and systems following emergencies, crises, and disasters.
Conduct annual training programmes and awareness sessions to support the effective implementation of the Business Continuity Management Programme.
