This service enables citizens residing outside the country to renew their passport if it has expired or if less than one year remains before its expiry.

Terms and Conditions

  • The passport is issued for a period of ten years for citizens aged 21 years and above, and for a period of five years for those under 21 years of age
  • Complete the necessary procedures to fulfill the application requirements (in case the application is returned for modification).
  • The personal photograph must comply with the standards approved by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).
  • Applicants are permitted to apply for the service only if the passport’s remaining validity is one year or less.

Service fees

  • Application Fees - 10 AED
  • Fees for issuing a passport with a validity of five years - 40 AED
  • Fees for issuing a passport with a validity of ten years - 90 AED
