Terms and Conditions

  • The passport is issued for a period of ten years for citizens aged 21 years and above, and for a period of five years for those under 21 years of age
  • The personal photograph must comply with the standards approved by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).
  • The service may only be requested if the passport’s remaining validity is one year or less.
  • This service is available to citizens residing within the country. In case the citizen is outside the country, they must apply for the service (Renewal of Passports for Citizens Residing Abroad).

Service fees

  • Application fees - 10 AED
  • Issuance fee for a 5-year duration - 40 AED
  • Issuance fee for a 10-year duration - 90 AED
  • Delivery Fees - 15 AED
