“Zayed centennial is an era of limitless giving and accomplishment of timeless miracles,” says Al Shamsi

H.E. Ali Mohammed bin Hammad Al Shamsi, Chairman of ICA’s Board of Directors, has stressed that the centennial anniversary of the birth of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan is not just a temporary occasion. It is rather an era of limitless giving, tireless construction, and accomplishment of timeless miracles. “Zayed’s milestone legacies would be engraved in memories throughout history,” added Al Shamsi.

Moreover, Al Shamsi said that Sheikh Zayed, the founding father, would remain alive in the conscious of every individual living in UAE, whether Emiratis or residents, for his instilled values and glorious achievements that ensure decent living conditions for them along with the forthcoming generations. He highlighted the fact that Zayed was not a traditional leader or a mere ordinary head of state; rather, he was in the first place an exceptional human being and a wise and insightful man by all standards, a rare commodity throughout centuries. Zayed was an outstanding leader, who mastered the politics of human beings with fluency in the language of homeland construction and prosperity, since he had an innate common sense invested for the good offices and common good, namely realizing Almighty’s intent of the creation of Adam and succession on Earth, which is the Earth’s construction and striving for the good of his descendants.

In a statement made on the occasion marking 100 years since the birth of the founding father, Al Shamsi added that the achievements of the late Sheikh Zayed are truly miracles of the modern age, rather a testimony on his unique charisma, morality, and noble brilliance. Zayed could discard polarization and instead sought for reunification and unity; to establish and construct his homelands with his fellow rulers in one of the most successful uniting experiences in the Arab world and worldwide. He tirelessly set to transform the barren desert into an earthly paradise and prosperous oases and managed in no time to achieve what other deep-rooted nations need centuries to reach, in terms of history and ages of nations.

Al Shamsi added: “Sheikh Zayed should be looked upon as the pride of the UAE nationals, who should take pride in his legacy before the world since their homeland has become an icon of prosperity and the destination of seekers for decent fine life and welfare. They have ended up the happiest people across the globe while being looked upon with respect and cordiality wherever they go.”

H.E. Ali Mohammed bin Hammad Al Shamsi highlighted the fine and noble characteristics of the late Sheikh Zayed; given the fact that he embodied the greatest example of virility, bravery, modesty, and philanthropy. He always identified himself with justice and spared no effort to preserve and spread peace worldwide. Zayed always rushed to give help to the needy and relief to the grieved and disaster-stricken. Discrimination between people out of religion, race, or color was not in his dictionary. He was the benevolent philanthropist, whose ceaseless charity overflowed with good to wipe away the tears of the poor, heal the wounds of the injured and the deprived, and quench the thirst for education and knowledge. Nevertheless, every place in the world stands attested to his giving.

Furthermore, Al Shamsi expressed the pride of his fellow Emiratis for President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the best successor to the best predecessor, who continued the UAE’s development march and observed the path chosen and initiated by the late Sheikh Zayed, with the support of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, who continue work day and night to keep this homeland as glorious and honorable as its people, praying to Almighty Allah to grant the founding father eternal peace and mercy with prophets, true believers, martyrs, and the righteous ones. Al Shamsi beseeched Almighty Allah to make Zayed’s contributions to his people, his nation, and all humanity in the balance of his good deeds, to preserve our glorious nation, and to lead its wise leadership to success in every aspect consented by Allah.
