Work progress in digital ID applications project followed up

H.E. Dr. Eng. Ali Mohamed Al Khouri, Emirates ID Director General, has hailed the progress achieved in the digital ID applications project, which is one of the most prominent and significant strategic projects that are being carried out by the Emirates Identity Authority.

Al Khouri reaffirmed the Emirates Identity Authority’s determination and endeavor to introduce a masterpiece that provides a number of services related to the ID card and its uses in the online services provided in the UAE.

This was announced during the meeting in which the most important points related to the high-quality implementation of the project were reviewed and the integration of its infrastructure was ensured.

Al Khouri stressed the necessity of providing all the services related to the work of the electronic coding infrastructure.

According to the presentation made by the company in charge of the project, the stages of preliminary examination of the components of the infrastructure and the provided software have been completed.

Work is currently under way to complete the procedures related to examining the capacity of the systems in preparation for launch as per the set timeline.

It is worthwhile that the services to be launched in the first stage are the ID verification services, card credibility assurance services and card holder’s fingerprint matching services.
