The UAE passport ranked 1st in the world, providing entry for 167 countries (113 countries without pre-visa requirements and 54 countries upon arrival at the airport or applying for a visa online).
H.H Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, tweeted: “Our achievements are ongoing during our glorious National Day, as Passport Index ranked, just a while ago, the UAE as the first passport internationally, providing entry for 167 countries all over the world without a visa. The world opens its doors to the Emirati people. Congratulations to the UAE, and all thanks to the outstanding team of Ministry of Foreign Affairs, headed by my brother Abdullah Bin Zayed”.
H.H Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces tweeted: “Thanks to Allah the Almighty, the UAE passport ranked 1st in the world. This achievement is proof for being on the right path regarding our approach and future vision. I would like to express my thanks to our working group for their relentless efforts, as enhancing the position of the UAE, establishing its good reputation, and facilitating its citizens’ affairs are from the core of our external policy. Congratulations to the leadership and its people this honorable achievement”.
According to a report published by the UAE newspapers today, the UAE passport ranked 1st, in accordance with the “Passport Index” by Arton Capital, after having exemption from 4 countries for pre-visa requirements, which are ” Congo Brazzaville, Sierra Lion, Niger and Burundi” to rank first alone on the top rank of most powerful passports in the world, according to “Passport Index” by Arton Capital, exceeding passports of 21 countries all at once, as the 1st rank was for “Germany and Singapore”; providing entry for 165 countries, and 11 countries were on the 2nd rank, providing entry for 164 countries, which are Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Luxembourg, France, Italy, Norway, Netherlands, Spain, South Korea, USA; in addition to 9 countries on the 3rd rank, providing entry for 163 countries, which are Belgium, Austria, Japan, Greek, Portugal, Switzerland, Britain, Ireland, Canada.
The “Passport Index” affirmed, in a report titled “UAE Race to the Top” discussing the rapid rise of the UAE passport within a short period, that it is the fastest one forever all over the world, referring that the UAE impressed the world for many reasons and has become rapidly one of the most innovative countries all over the world in technology, education, finance, and infrastructure.
According to Passport Index, only 31 countries exemptions are remaining before the UAE passport to enter all countries of the world without pre-visa requirements.
