ICA congratulates the wise leadership and the Emirati people on the dream, which was achieved on 25 September. Celebrating this great Emirati achievement, ICA issues visas, bearing the logo “Zayed’s Ambition”, along with the names of Mohammed bin Rashid Space Center and Hazza Al Mansoori, written in both Arabic and English.

The Emiratis will never forget such a date, which will be engraved in their hearts. His Highness Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan came up with that idea in 1976 when he received 3 American astronauts while standing before a spacecraft model, to set a date for the beginning of the space era. His marks were the guiding light to achieve this dream.

The wise leadership harnessed all potentials to build the infrastructure for this great national project and sent Emirati students on scholarships to learn and train at the centers of international space stations.

Today, this dream became a reality, as the first Emirati astronaut, Hazza Al Mansoori, embraced and flew through space and the UAE flag was waving on the Russian spacecraft, Soyuz MS-15, which launched from Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan.
