Brigadier Murshid Al Mazrouei, Executive Director of Population Data at the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship “ICA”, announced that ICA launched the “Your Data.. Your Identity” initiative aiming at updating personal data through ICA smartphone application, or through the website www.icp.gov.ae.
Al Mazrouei stressed that the data updating process would effectively contribute to boosting the UAE efforts intended to combat the spread of COVID-19 pandemic since such process establishes an authenticated digital database system meeting the requirements of the health sector and other various sectors, as well as its pivotal role in ensuring the continuity in providing the governmental services to the best standards of efficiency and agility.
Al Mazrouei revealed that the first phase of the initiative is designated to UAE nationals and invites them to start updating the relevant data effective from Wednesday, 28 October 2020, and lasting for a one-month duration. Al Mazrouei further highlighted that data updating for the other community categories would be resumed within the following phases which dates will be later announced.
Al Mazrouei further added, “The data updating at the first phase would be restricted only to UAE nationals within the age group (18-60 years old). Every adult & fully-competent person shall assume the responsibility for updating his personal details as well as his own family members”. Al Mazrouei revealed that the Call Centre No. (600522222) would be available to provide support for the valued customers and immediately respond to their inquiries in respect of data updating as well as all other services provided by ICA.
