H.E. Dr. Eng. Ali Mohamed Al Khouri, Emirates ID Director General, has instructed that the strategy of work in the unified e-form project be re-formulated so as to take into consideration the concept of integrated services with the concerned organizations in the project, provided that this will not affect the progress of work in the service systems currently being observed in these organizations. This is aimed at facilitating the application of the “unified procedure” concept in future, he said.
During the meeting held to discuss the progress of work in the Emirates Identity Authority’s strategic technological projects, Al Khouri stressed the importance and vitality of the unified e-form project as a service edifice whose results would reflect positively on all the concerned entities in the UAE. The project would lead the services provided to both the UAE nationals and residents to be upgraded.
Al Khouri stressed the necessity of holding intensive workshops in the upcoming period, particularly with the concerned ministries, with the aim of coming up with the technical description document for the structure of services provided as part of the unified e-form project.
Meanwhile, the meeting discussed the progress of work in the electronic linkage project as well as the work completed during the consultative stage and the results of the preliminary meetings and workshops held with the concerned organizations in the UAE.
The meeting reviewed the nature of work during the coming stage as regards the electronic linkage with the different UAE organizations concerned with updating the population register data and recording civil incidents of individuals. It also reviewed how to benefit from the population register data for providing excellent services to the customers of these organizations.
It is noteworthy that the timeline of the project extends tone full year starting with the stage of consultative services and completed with the application of the best technological solutions in this connection. This will allow the UAE organizations during this period to approve the ID number and ID card reading as part of the work procedures related to the services provided to the public, paving the way for electronic linkage with the Emirates Identity Authority after the project has been finalized and the required infrastructure completed.
