Qatari delegation visits Emirates Identity Authority

A delegation from Qater’s Ministry of Interior paid a visit to the Emirates Identity Authority today (Tuesday) with the aim of getting familiarized with the Emirates ID’s successful experience as regards the ID card and population register system.

During the joint meeting between both delegations of the Emirates Identity Authority and Qatar’s Ministry of Interior, H.E. Abdullah Askar, Population Register Advisor at the Emirates Identity Authority, made a presentation on the Emirates Identity Authority as well as its organizational structure, objectives, vision, mission and new strategy 2010-2013.

He also reviewed the objectives, components and future prospects of the identity card and population register system and familiarized the delegation with the ID card registration procedures, Id card’s features and benefits and the applications that ID card can offer.

The meeting was attended from the Emirates Identity Authority by H.E. Hatem Al Hamli, Executive Director for Financial Affairs and Acting Executive Director for Administrative Affairs and Relations, H.E. Mohamed Al Mazrouei, Executive Director of Population Register, H.E. Abdullah Askar, Population Register Advisor, and Mr. Abdul Aziz Al Maamari, Director of Public Relations and Marketing.

The meeting was also attended from the Qatari side by Major Salah Salem Al Ali, Head of Travel Documents Section, Captain Ahmed Saeed Al Bu’einein, Head of Naturalization Section, and First Lieutenant Ali Hassan Al Bulooshi from Information Systems Department.
