The General Authority for Pensions and Social Security has launched the e-subscription collection system using the ID number issued by the Emirates Identity Authority. This is aimed at the verification of the individual identity of pensioners and subscribers through the merger of the account number with the Authority and the ID number. The linkage with the Pensions Authority allows access to the full details of the recipient of the social security or pension.

Mohamed Saif Al Hamili, Acting Director of the Pensions Authority, said during a ceremony to honor local and federal government authorities and private sector organizations that joined the system, that the number of beneficiaries of the system reached 89000 subscribers, 30000 pensioners and 18000 eligible persons, in addition to 4000 entities including local, federal government and private sector entities. He pointed out that the implementation of the system contributed to faster transfer of money electronically from and to the Authority for subscription collections and pension disbursement.

Al Hamili said in news published in the papers today that the launch of the system using the ID number was in line with the country’s orientation to use the ID card in all the electronic transactions to enable the Authority to quickly respond to queries and requests.
