H.E. Rehman Malik, Pakistani Interior Minister, has hailed the tangible developments achieved by the UAE in all fields under the leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, may Allah protect him.
During his participation in the ID World Abu Dhabi 2011, Malik praised the digital ID card project, which rendered the UAE one of most advanced countries of the world in carrying out this kind of vital and strategic projects.
Meanwhile, Malik, accompanied by H.E. Ahmed Nasser Al Raisi, Chairman of the Executive Committee and Board Member of the Emirates Identity Authority, paid a visit to the Emirates Identity Authority’s booth at the exhibition held on the sidelines of the summit.
Malik listened to a brief explanation made by H.E. Dr. Eng. Ali Mohamed Al Khouri, Emirates ID Director General, on the Emirates Identity Authority’s strategy and most prominent projects and initiatives in addition to an introduction to the advanced equipment demonstrated at the Emirates Identity Authority’s booth.
Malik expressed his admiration of the Emirates Identity Authority’s strategy in view of the fact that it contained a number of significant strategic initiatives and projects aimed at providing excellent government services and contributing to maintaining and reinforcing the national security and safety through many applications that are being introduced to the ID card project.
