The Ajman Registration Center organized an awareness campaign aimed at putting an end to the phenomenon of using mobile phones while driving based on its belief in the necessity for all individuals of the society to participate in the “I Pledge” campaign, which was launched by the Emarat Al Youm newspaper and supported by the Emirates Identity Authority.
The Ajman Registration Center’s campaign featured an awareness seminar which all the center’s employees participated in. It also saw customers while being urged to participate in the campaign by signing on a mural carrying the campaign’s logo which was placed in the lobby so that everybody would benefit from it and alert others of the necessity to give up this passive phenomenon.
Many customers interacted positively with this activity and showed full support for its social objectives by signing on the pledge out of collective duty.
In the same context, the Umm Al Quwain Registration Center held a guidance seminar for its employees which focused on the risks of using mobile phones while driving and urged them to take part in the “I Pledge” campaign supported by the Emirates Identity Authority.
Previously, the Emirates Identity authority reiterated its full support for the people’s media and awareness campaign of “I Pledge”, which was launched by the Emarat Al Youm newspaper early last week with the aim of urging people to stop using mobile phones for writing SMS while driving on one hand and warning them of its hazards on the other.
The Emirates Identity Authority announced its participation in the campaign by launching a number of awareness initiatives targeting its employees and customers at the level of its departments and centers across the UAE. It commended the Ministry of Interior’s ongoing efforts to put an end to the use of mobile phones while driving based on its keenness on maintaining the safety of drivers and road users. It also commended the efforts of the Emarat Al Youm newspaper for launching constructive awareness and social initiatives and for its outstanding media role.
The Emirates Identity Authority started holding guidance and awareness seminars for its employees and circulating the news, analyses and articles related to the campaign through the internal email of its employees and through the SMS system used for internally communicating with its departments and centers.
The Emirates Identity Authority also adopted the campaign’s slogan on its website and inserted the “I Pledge” logo in its outgoing letters and correspondence. It also started printing rollups carrying the campaign’s slogan for circulation to its registration centers across the UAE in the few coming days.
