His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, has issued a Decree of the Cabinet No. 62 of 2017 concerning the introduction of Validation Gateway services and electronic connectivity services provided by the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship.
The Decree published by the newspapers today set an amount of AED 5 for each transaction of Validation Gateway services and electronic connectivity services for transactions of less than (500 thousand) transactions, while the Decree set the amount of 4 dirhams per transaction for transactions exceeding (500 thousand) and less than one million transactions, and 3 dirhams per transaction for transactions that exceed one million and less than 1.5 million transactions, while the Decree set the amount of (2 dirhams) per transaction for more than one and half million transactions. The Decree exempted federal and local government authorities from paying the above-mentioned fees.
The Decree stated in its Article 3 that the subscription fee amounted (25 thousand dirham) is collected from all entities in exchange for the services of the Validation Gateway and the electronic connectivity services. The fees stipulated in this Decree shall be collected by means determined by the Ministry of Finance. The Decree shall be in force after 30 days of publication in the Official Gazette.
