His Excellency Engineer Mohammed Ahmed bin Abdul Aziz Al–Shehhi, Undersecretary of Economic Affairs at the Ministry of Economy and board member at EIDA, has visited the platform of EIDA at “UAE Innovation Week” event, which was launched on last Sunday and will last only for this week. The event is held at EIDA’s headquarters at Khalifa City in Abu Dhabi.
His Excellency Dr. Saeed bin Mutlaq Al Ghafli, Director General of EIDA, has informed Eng. Al Shehhi about the latest innovative projects carried out by the Authority and the smart electronic services it offers for the customers, including the Electronic Voting System and Digital Validation Gateway, which allows the institutions and individuals to use ID cards in conducting financial electronic transactions.
Al Shehhi also examined the innovative projects and initiatives displayed by other participating institutions, which are carried out in collaboration with EIDA; with the aim of improving their services and using the privileges of the ID cards which save time and effort by obtaining the data of the applicants from the database stored in the electronic chip in the card.
Al Shehhi expressed his admiration of the organization of the event and the displayed innovative projects, and praised the distinguished accomplishments of EIDA in the field of expanding the usage of the “smart” ID card, and thus enabling private and public institutions to benefit from the ID card in the context of developing their services in order to meet the expectations of their customers.
