The Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security, represented by the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai, honored one of the cleaners working at Dubai International Airport, for his honesty and his moral and societal responsibility towards lost possessions of passengers, particularly passports.
The story goes back to a passenger filing a report at the airport about his daughter losing her passport on the plane when the latter was on the airport grounds. The worker, while performing his duties, found the passport and quickly handed it over to the airport security, which in turn handed it over to the girl’s father.
The incident coincided with the General Director of the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai, His Excellency Major-General Mohammed Al-Marri, making an inspection tour at the airport to find out about the needs of passengers and the workflow. Once he heard about the incident, he gave his instructions to invite the cleaner to his office in order to honor him for his honesty and dedication at work. His Excellency emphasized the keenness of “Dubai Residency Directorate” to honor the workers for their pivotal role and their honesty, which reflects the level of awareness and sense of responsibility that community members have.
