The ID World Abu Dhabi 2011, organized by the Emirates Identity Authority under the sublime patronage of His Highness Lieutenant General Sheikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Interior and Deputy Chairman of the Emirates Identity Authority, concluded in Abu Dhabi on Monday the day before yesterday.
A large number of participants praised the great developments that the UAE witnessed and is still witnessing and the tangible achievements seen in the strategic projects carried out by the Emirates Identity Authority, the most prominent of which is the ID card and population register project.
During the 2-day summit, as many as 400 researchers, academicians and technological experts discussed a number of significant topics including eGovernment, global security, quality of travel documents, border control, introduction to radio frequency, vital statistics, smart cards and data collection projects through the summit’s three forums; namely, Citizen ID Forum, Transportation Security Forum and Asset Tracking Forum.
