This morning, Wednesday (September 13, 2023), the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship, Customs, and Port Security celebrated the graduation of the fifth class (batch) of students from the Emirates Academy for Science and Training. The class consisted of 60 students in 4 major academic disciplines.
His Excellency Major General/ Suhail Saeed Al Khaili, the Director-General of the Authority, emphasized in his speech during the graduation ceremony that the Emirates Academy for Science and Training is the pioneering academic arm of the Authority. Over the course of 15 years, the Academy has succeeded in delivering pioneering and distinctive specialized practical programs, contributing to enhance the work environment within the Authority and its partners by providing employees with the knowledge and skills that enabled them to accomplish projects and initiatives and develop the service system to meet the aspirations and ambitions of customers.
His Excellency explained that the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship, Customs and Port Security believes that leadership in the present and future cannot be achieved without combining work knowledge and science, and believes that effective contribution to improv the quality of society and meeting the aspirations of its members can only be achieved through advanced institutions whose employees possess modern sciences, skills, knowledge and expertise to help them plan effectively and make accurate predictions about the future. According to this standpoint, the Emirates Academy for Science and Training was launched more than 15 years ago, and the Academy has gone through many stages of development and growth to become a pioneering global and regional beacon in the fields of security, identity, citizenship, humanities and administration sciences.
On his part, His Excellency Brigadier General/ Mohammed Saeed Al Ameri, the Academy’s Director, stated that the fifth class of Academy graduates includes 60 graduates from the Authority and partner employees who studied in 4 specialized majors’ courses: Bachelor of Nationality, Residency and Ports (15 graduates), Diploma in Cyber Security (15 graduates), Professional Diploma in Innovation and Future Foresight (22 graduates), and Researchers Diploma (8 graduates).
His Excellency pointed out that the programs and scientific courses offered by the Academy aim to educate future employees about nationality and residency services with the necessary administrative, analytical, behavioral, social, and cultural qualifications. These programs also aim to develop their knowledge, skills and enhance their ability to think independently and creatively, in order to qualify them to work effectively to work effectively in the Authority and various dynamic community institutions.
At the end of the ceremony, His Excellency Major General/ Suhail Saeed Al Khaili, the Director-General of the Authority, presented graduation certificates to the graduates amidst the joy of their families and loved ones.
