A group of ICA’s employees has organized an initiative to distribute Ramadan Iftar meals, in cooperation with The Traffic and Patrols Directorate at the Directorate General of Central Operations at the Abu Dhabi Police with a view to instilling the values of fraternity and compassion in the holy month of Ramadan.
This initiative is organized in interaction with the “Year of Zayed” initiative, launched by H.H Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the state in commemorating 100 years since the birth of the late of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. As a part of ICA’s commitment to its social responsibilities and its keen on enhancing the values of benevolence, giving, fraternity, and human and social compassion, which were instilled by the late Sheikh Zayed in everyone living in the UAE.
The initiative activities include distributing Iftar meals to drivers on crossroads in Khalifa City, Abu Dhabi, workers, and passersby who couldn’t make it to their homes on iftar time. This aims at promoting the human values and emphasizing the essence of solidarity and compassion that the citizens as well as residents are characterized. In addition, it came with a view to participating in raising awareness of the importance of adhering to the traffic safety regulations, speed limits, and the necessity of complying with these regulations, particularly at the sunset time in the month of Ramadan. This in turn limits traffic accidents and protects lives and properties.
