Within the framework of the national strategy towards the next 50 years, ICA launched a project for studying and developing its corporate structure marking the start of a new stage that targets the future foresight by shaping its capabilities, enhancing its operations’ efficiency, and aligning its outputs with the strategic orientation. It further manages organizational change by changing its system in an organized manner to be able to perform its activities, develop work processes and internal responsibilities, and adapt to the internal and external developments. This two-day event was held in the InterContinental Fujairah Resort, Al Aqah Beach.
ICA’s first exceptional retreat was held with the consent of His Excellency Ali Mohammed Al Shamsi, Chairman of ICA’s Board of Directors, the follow-up of H.E. Major General Mansour Ahmed Al Dhaheri, Acting Director-General, and the attendance of H.E. Major General Saeed Rakan Al Rashdi, Director General of Foreigners’ Affairs and Ports, Brigadier Suhail Al Khaili, Director General of Identity and Passports and the executive directors of ICA. Employees from the various organizational units of ICA state-wide also participated in the event. During this retreat, the approach basis for analyzing challenges, highlighting developmental opportunities, and generating creative ideas that achieve development visions, was established. These efforts were exerted to strengthen and promote the corporate capacities in all ICA’s fields of work and to enable ICA to move forward towards excellence and creativity so that ICA would become one of the best institutions providing services in the world. The discussions took place in a dynamic environment more open and stimulating than the routine office work.
The event was initiated with an opening speech by H.E. Major General Mansour Al Dhaheri about the project and its objectives. After that, a detailed explanation of corporate structure practices was given. The attendees were then divided into major groups, and each group discussed the challenges and solutions and captured data within the scope of the corporate structure.
