ICA’s Board of Directors stressed its keenness on continuously developing the system of services provided by ICA to nationals and upgrading them to be consistent with the wise leadership’s vision, which aims at making UAE a regional and international center for the most advanced technologies and innovative applications. This is directly reflected on people’s life and facilitates procedures for finalizing transactions related to the various affairs with the minimum efforts and time possible.

The Board of Directors further instructs all ICA’s departments and sectors to intensify efforts and implement initiatives, which achieve the goals of UAE Vision 2021 related to the services of identity, citizenship, residency and ports. They aim at competing on the top global ranks by innovating more electronic and smart services in such fields and keeping on providing diverse service platforms, through which services can be obtained and provided anywhere anytime.

This came during the Board of Directors’ first meeting in 2019, which was held in the ICA’s Headquarters in Khalifa City, Abu Dhabi and chaired by H.E Ali Mohammed Al Shamsi, Chairman of ICA’s Board of Directors.

The Board commended the Cabinet Decree of approving the electronic family book for nationals in all transactions with governmental, semi-governmental and private entities. The Board further highlighted that such qualitative transformation will contribute efficiently in achieving the desired progress in these services. From there on, services will depend on the most modern and updated technologies, minimize the use of paper transactions to reach the minimum global rates, increase the data quality, ensure the safety and security of procedures and services and the confidentiality of information, in addition to eliminating any attempt of fraud or manipulation with information.

The Board called for coordination with all the concerned entities, both on the federal and local level to ensure proper implementation and optimal use of this step. This includes, most notably, facilitating the procedures for nationals and shortening customer’s journey for completing their transaction.

ICA’s Board of Directors outlined last year achievements in the field of developing its digital services, particularly, smart application and unified form. It further expressed its satisfaction with such achievements, highlighting the importance of reflecting them directly on the ground, to enable ICA to achieve the leadership in providing its services, achieve happiness for customers and innovating more qualitative services that satisfy the ambitions of the community people and exceed their expectations.
