The 34th regular meeting of the Emirates Identity Authority’s Higher Management Committee, which was held in the Emirates Identity Authority’s main building this morning (Wednesday) mainly discussed a number of topics and issues related to customers and applicants. The meeting was attended by the chief executive officers and a number of directors.
H.E. Dr. Eng. Ali Mohamed Al Khouri, Emirates ID Director General, who chaired the meeting, stressed the necessity for taking all the steps that would ease procedures for customers and applicants, either by solving the problems they were facing as soon as possible or by helping facilitate their registration for ID cards and population register, noting that the “customer” who was put on top of priorities of the Emirates Identity Authority’s strategy is the focus of its work.
The Higher Management Committee approved the methodology of work in the corporate excellence project, which was submitted by the Planning and Quality Department and incorporated the criteria of the excellence model and the mechanism of the Emirates Identity Authority’s participation in the next edition of Sheikh Khalifa Excellence Award in 2012. The project also threw the light on the categories of the award, which the Emirates Identity Authority would participate in, as well as the Prime Minister’s medals and other awards for which the Emirates Identity Authority’s employees would be nominated for participation.
The committee was briefed on the progress of work in a number of construction projects to be carried out by the Emirates Identity Authority all over the UAE including Al Wahda Mall, Sharjah Registration Center and the permanent registration centers listed under the interior redesign project.
The consulting company submitted an offer to the Emirates Identity Authority on the most prominent updates related to the implementation of a number of initiatives and projects that were being carried out by the different departments of the Emirates Identity Authority in the framework of the Emirates Identity Authority’s new strategy 2010-2013.
The Higher Management Committee also discussed a number of agenda items for which the appropriate decisions were taken.
