Gargash honors Emirates ID for its efforts in FNC elections 2011

The National Election Committee (NEC) has honored the Emirates Identity Authority in appreciation of its efforts for making a success of the Federal National Council (FNC) elections 2011.

The honoring ceremony was attended by H.E. Dr. Anwar Mohammed Gargash, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Minister of State for Federal National Council Affairs and Chairman of the National Election Committee, NEC members, chairmen of the Emirates committees, team leaders and a number of people in charge of the media institutions and activities that participated in the elections, while the Emirates Identity Authority’s delegation was led by H.E. Dr. Eng. Ali Mohamed Al Khouri, Emirates ID Director General.

In his speech during the ceremony held for honoring the organizers of the past elections, Gargash said: “By virtue of the efforts and contribution of all staff, the National Election Committee was able to ensure that the elections be held in line with the great development that the UAE is experiencing in all fields and sectors. This would not have been achieved without the diligent effort and keenness to carry out the work in line with the best standards which proves that the UAE people are worth the trust placed on them by the prudent leadership.”

Praising the high caliber of the election organizers, particularly those who worked non-stop for 6 months, Gargash pointed out that the committee was impressed by their determination to implement the elections in an organized and honorable manner despite the huge bulk of the work, which had to be done across the UAE.

During the ceremony which was held yesterday at Dubai World Trade Center, Gargash valued the role and efforts of several national organizations and entities, whose contribution to supporting the NEC with the human and technological expertise played a key role in the success that was achieved.

At the end of the ceremony, Gargash honored Al Khouri, Emirates Identity Authority’s working team and the other entities that co-organized the elections by granting them certificates of appreciation and token shields.
