The Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship denied the rumors circulated by others via mobile phones applications and social networking sites about FAIC’s revision of fees for services provided to customers.

FAIC confirmed that the fees charged to its services, whether issuance, renewal or replacement of Emirates ID card, are determined by the two Cabinet Decrees No. (14) of 2005 and No. (25) of 2011, which include determining the registration fees and issuance of the Emirates ID cards for UAE nationals and GCC nationals, With a validity of 5 years against amount of AED 100, while the validity of the Emirates ID card is limited to residents with the number of residence years, and the issuance fee is amounted AED 100 for each year or part of the year, plus the electronic form fee of AED 70, which is paid at the printing offices, and AED 40 if the application is submitted via FAIC’s website or through its smart application.

FAIC explained that the fees for renewing the Emirates ID card for all categories of customers are the same as the issuance fees, while the fees for the extraction of a replacement is AED 300 in case of losing the Emirates ID card, and AED 150 as a replacement fees when you want to modify the printed data, plus the fees to fill out the form according to the channel through which the customer applies for getting the service.
