The Emirates Identity Authority has achieved a new accomplishment when its website received the full mark of 100 per cent in all criteria, based on the results of the first annual website evaluation report for ministries and federal government authorities and entities in the UAE for 2010.

The report, prepared by the General Information Authority (GIA), showed that the Emirates Identity Authority complied with the guidelines and standards prepared by the GIA experts, which conform to the best international criteria that federal entities should follow when designing and managing their websites.

H.E. Dr. Eng. Ali Mohamed Al Khouri, Emirates ID Director General, said the excellent and impressive evaluation result that the Emirates Identity Authority’s website received would add to the responsibility shouldered by the Emirates Identity Authority’s Higher Management and render this achievement, which is the first of its kind in the history of the Emirates Identity Authority, a motive and an incentive for carrying on the process of work and building on such accomplishments.

Al Khouri stressed the Emirates Identity Authority’s keenness and diligent endeavors to improve and upgrade all online services provided to customers via its website’s easy and fast channels and to do its utmost to enhance the Emirates Identity Authority’s online presence.

He emphasized that the Emirates Identity Authority’s Higher Management would provide all forms of support for its website to be developed and easily used through the Emirates Identity Authority’s abidance by the world’s highest criteria and its keenness on developing its website in form and in content.

It is noteworthy that the websites of 40 ministries and federal government authorities and entities were evaluated in 5 categories; namely, domain name and hosting, site architecture and design, usability and accessibility, content management and marketing and communication.
