Morpho (Safran group) has announced that its fingerprint identification technology’s special product, which is used by the Emirates Identity Authority, has come first worldwide for the second successive time.
This result comes as part of the National Institute of Standards and Technology’s evaluation of ID card emulation in terms of speed, precision and compatibility in all conditions.
The UAE is one of the early countries that have applied this top technology since 2003. It is still using this technology in the emulation of ID cards with the aim of identifying the identity of individuals and confirming it through the fingerprints stored in the smart chip in line with the internationally accepted standard for smart cards ISO 7816.
It is worthwhile that Morpho (Safran Group) is one of the world leaders in multi-biometric technologies for identifying identities by means of fingerprint, iris and facial recognition.
