The Emirates Identity Authority has affirmed its keenness on providing all forms of support to set up a demographic database for the Western Region inhabitants that will contribute to supporting the strategic development plan currently being witnessed in the Western Region.
This was announced during a meeting held at the court of the Ruler’s Representative in the Western Region and attended by H.E. Sultan Abdullah Muhair Abdullah Al Kutbi, Under-secretary of Ruler’s Representative’s Court, and H.E. Mohamed Masoud Al Mazrouei, Executive Director of Population Register at the Emirates Identity Authority.
The two sides discussed aspects of mutual co-operation in a number of issues including the provision of demographic statistics and data for the inhabitants of the Western Region with the aim of setting up a fresh and precise database for them. They also discussed the mechanism of electronic linkage with the population register database, which would be used to gather the demographic data between the Emirates Identity Authority and the court of the Ruler’s Representative in the Western Region.
