The Emirates Identity Authority today (Monday) launched the new corporate resource management system, which would be applied in all its departments and centers across the UAE.
H.E. Dr. Eng. Ali Mohamed Al Khouri, Emirates ID Director General, affirmed that the new system is a complementary part to the Emirates Identity Authority’s ongoing efforts to develop the supporting operations in all its departments, centers and sections. The new system also reflects the Emirates Identity Authority’s bid to carry on the corporate excellence march and its keenness on applying the world’s latest practices with the aim of upgrading corporate performance at the Emirates Identity Authority and providing the best qualitative services to its employees, he added.
Al Khouri pointed out that the “automation of procedures” is one of the most prominent positive results expected to be generated from the application of this system and would contribute to cutting the operating cost of the Emirates Identity Authority’s operations and consequently raising the production capacity, minimizing the paper transactions and saving the time and effort that are consumed by the manual work necessary to complete the daily transactions needed by the Emirates Identity Authority’s employees.
Corporate Excellence
The Emirates Identity Authority is determined to provide a work environment that encourages creativity and stimulates innovation as part of its bid to carry on its corporate excellence march by depending on the experienced and qualified human resources distinguished for having the required knowledge and appropriate skills, he said, adding that the knowledge worker known for his ability to learn and develop his knowledge by keeping abreast of his field of specialization and scope of work is simultaneously the means and end of the corporate development process.
Al Khouri stressed the keenness of the Higher Management at the Emirates Identity Authority – through the corporate resource management system – on deepening and enhancing the channels of communication between the employee and the knowledge spaces in their different spheres, particularly the technological one, and encouraging the employees to develop their knowledge, crystallize their skills and invest their developed expertise in providing qualitative and excellent services to all employees and customers.
Online Services
H.E. Eng. Nasser Mohamed Al Mazrouei, ICT Executive Director, clarified that the corporate resource management system, which was implemented by one of the world’s best specialist companies in collaboration with a working team of consultants and IT specialists, would serve all the Emirates Identity Authority’s employees as well as a number of its vital segments including finance, HR, procurement and inventory and the suppliers that the Emirates Identity Authority deals with.
Once applied, the system would provide a number of online services that would allow an employee to complete several administrative procedures online in a self-service manner, he said, adding that this would contribute to speedily completing these procedures, saving the employee’s time and effort and hence increasing the registration capacity at the Emirates Identity Authority’s centers.
Fast Completion
Meanwhile, H.E. Hatem Al Hamli, Executive Director for Finance Affairs, said the application of the new system at the Emirates Identity Authority’s departments and centers would help control the Emirates ID’s Financial Performance Department, ensure effective linkage with banks and monitor the Emirates Identity Authority’s fixed assets, not to mention the system’s role in preparing the budget and closing the Emirates Identity Authority’s final statements of account on time.
Automatic linkage between the systems of procedures and the data of the different sections affiliated to the Finance Department and Procurement Section would achieve positive results as embodied in the fast extraction of the required data and would contribute to upgrading the provided services, he said.
He pointed out that that new system would serve the suppliers whom the Emirates Identity Authorities deals with by tracking and speedily completing their transactions and providing post-supply services including delivery, billing and collection.
Self-service
For her part, Mrs. Khawala Al Tayer, HR Director, said the new system would allow the Emirates Identity Authority’s employees to apply self-service for completing all their transactions and procedures related to human resources management directly through the internal communication network. This would result in more precise performance and faster completion as per the advanced quality and excellence criteria, she added.
The new system will lead to the re-distribution of roles and tasks among the Emirates Identity Authority’s employees in such a manner that would reflect positively on the production capacity of employees and allow them the opportunity to invest the working hours in providing the service to applicants and customers in a better way, she said.
The Emirates Identity Authority completed training around 60 employees from its different departments and centers in the uses of the new system, she said, adding that the employees would in turn transfer their practical skills of how to deal with the new system to their work colleagues.
