The Emirates Identity Authority has discussed with the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Community Development means of streamlining the social initiatives contained in the agreement signed by both sides.
This was announced during the first co-ordination meeting, which was held yesterday (Tuesday) at the Emirates Identity Authority head office and was attended by Mr. Abdul Aziz Al Maamari, Director of Public Relations and Marketing.
The attendees were familiarized with the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Community Development’s strategy and discussed its vision, mission, values and strategic objectives, the most prominent of which included maintaining and promoting the national identity and safeguarding the UAE intangible heritage.
The two sides agreed to implement a number of joint activities this year including exchanging printed matter, particularly those related to the national identity, and allowing the opportunity for the Emirates Identity Authority’s employees to participate in an exhibition on employees’ creativity which is launched by the Ministry for federal entities. Other activities included the Emirates Identity Authority’s participation in the “Saif Biladi” activities for school students and working with the Ministry during the National Day activities.
The meeting recommended that a special program for promoting the national identity be implemented for the Emirates Identity Authority’s employees together with another program for sponsoring the Emirates Identity Authority’s talented employees and supporting them in their field demonstrations. Other recommendations included holding workshops and organizing informative tours for the population register and ID card program in addition to holding calligraphy workshops for the Emirates Identity Authority’s employees.
