Emirates Identity Authority honors its strategic partners

H.E. Dr. Eng. Ali Mohamed Al Khouri, Emirates ID Director General, has praised the vision of the UAE prudent leadership under President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, may Allah protect him, and its continuous support of all the Emirates Identity Authority’s projects and initiatives aimed at supporting the process of decision-making and developing both the government and private sectors in the UAE.

Al Khouri extended the warmest thanks, appreciation and gratitude to His Highness General Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Council and Chairman of the Emirates Identity Authority, for his kind patronage of the Emirates Identity Authority and his continuous support and wise and prudent directives for its process of development.

During his inaugural speech to the Strategic Partners Forum 2012, Al Khouri valued the sincere efforts exerted by His Highness Lieutenant General Sheikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Interior and Deputy Chairman of the Emirates Identity Authority, as well as his intensive follow-up of and limitless support for the Emirates Identity Authority’s process of development and endeavors to achieve the objectives stated in its new strategy 2010-2013.

Al Khouri said he has confidence in the value of the collective efforts that the Emirates Identity Authority is exerting with its strategic partners and in its role in achieving the objectives stated in its strategy and upgrading its services in such a manner that reflects the bright face of a bright and distinguished government, enabling the UAE not only to maintain its position but to promote it as one of the world’s advanced countries and achieve the UAE Vision 2021.

Strengthening Relations

Al Khouri clarified that organizing this forum comes as part of the Emirates Identity Authority’s Higher Management’s keenness and endeavor towards strengthening its relations with its strategic partners from the different federal and local government organizations and the Emirates Identity Authority’s partners from the private sector.

The Higher Management at the Emirates Identity Authority believes that successes cannot be achieved individually but through the combined and sincere efforts and continuous co-operation with its strategic partners as part of a transparent and clear relation unified by the noble objective that it is necessary to give the best that one can and do whatever has a positive effect on work while improving performance, keeping up the good work and increasing co-operation and co-ordination with strategic partners, Al Khouri said.

Projects and Achievements

“The achievements made to the Emirates Identity Authority’s strategic projects and initiatives would not have been accomplished without the bless of Almighty Allah in the first place and the positive and sincere spirit of work that characterized and is still characterizing the performance of our strategic partners. Success is the fruit of common dedication, strenuous effort and sincere intention that we should serve our dear country and contribute effectively to its bright process of development and dazzling achievements”, Al Khouri said.

Al Khouri pointed out that the strategic partners forum is an opportunity for reviewing strategic plans with the aim of evaluating the Emirates Identity Authority’s strategic projects and initiatives and getting familiar with the degree of their positive effect and conformity with the projects and initiatives of its strategic partners.

Later, Al Khouri honored all the entities participating in the Emirates Identity Authority’s Strategic Partners Forum and distributed shields and certificates of appreciation on the representatives of these entities. Expressing his optimism that the Emirates Identity Authority’s projects which are being implemented in co-operation with its strategic partners would achieve positive results, Al Khouri called for carrying on the common work with the aim of strengthening the strategic partnership relations with the Emirates Identity Authority’s partners and for doubling efforts to improve and upgrade the provided services.

Supporting Government Sector

During the forum, Mrs. Samia Al Sheikh, Acting Director of Planning at the Emirates Identity Authority, made an introductory presentation about the role of the Emirates Identity Authority in developing the government sector and supporting the process of development in the UAE. Al Sheikh talked about the major aspects of the Emirates Identity Authority’s new strategy 2010-2013 in addition to its vision, mission and objectives.

During its review of the Emirates Identity Authority’s major strategic projects, Al Sheikh clarified that the project of electronic linkage with the UAE organizations is aimed at providing the services of linkage with a number of UAE government entities for the purpose of updating the person’s file, keeping accurate data and ensuring a secure mechanism that takes the world’s protection and confidentiality criteria into consideration.

This project would contribute to enhancing the personal identity in the UAE, keeping a secure and accurate population register and providing innovated electronic services in a bid to achieve one of the Emirates Identity Authority’s most significant objectives as embodied in developing an integrated and secure infrastructure that enables data to be obtained and exchanged, she said.
