The Emirates Identity Authority has announced its intention to open a new temporary branch in Al Madam Municipality as part of its keenness on easing procedures for customers in that area, particularly that they are forced to travel long distances to Sharjah or Al Dhaid to complete their transactions.

Opening an ID card registration center in Al Madam Municipality is aimed at facilitating registration of customers and alleviating their travel burdens and comes as part of a project to increase temporary branches in the UAE in general and Sharjah in particular, specially in its remote areas, said Ismael Fadlallah, Director of Dubai and Northern Emirates at the Emirates Identity Authority.

Fadlallah conveyed the Emirates Identity Authority’s thanks to Al Madam Municipality for its co-operation in facilitating registration of Al Madam area inhabitants.

This was announced during a meeting, which was held at Al Madam Municipality and attended by Salem Obaid Al Mayala, Director of Al Madam Municipality, Ismael Fadlallah, Director of Dubai and Northern Emirates at the Emirates ID, Omer Saif Al Maamari, Supervisor of Temporary Registration Centers in Northern Emirates, and Ali Matar Al Kutbi, Verification Office Supervisor in Al Dhaid Branch, with Abdullah Matar Al Kutbi as secretary and Hussam Al Zu’bi as rapporteur.

Meanwhile, Al Mayala pointed out that it was agreed to provide a temporary branch for the Emirates Identity Authority in Al Madam area, provided that it would be located at the municipality.

He clarified that the new branch would make it easy for the inhabitants of this area and the neighboring areas to complete their registration transactions in the population register and ID card, noting that registration lines would be allocated for women.
