The Emirates Identity Authority has sponsored the celebration organized by the Al Ain Autism Unit, which is affiliated to Zayed Higher Organization for Humanitarian Care, Special Needs & Minors Affairs in Abu Dhabi, marking the UAE 40th National Day.
The program of the celebration, which was held at the unit’s headquarters in Al Khalidiya, Al Ain today, featured sketches by school students on a makeshift theater, pitching a house of hair accommodating 20 people and displaying paintings, possessions and traditional and national clothing.
The celebration, in which a military group participated, also featured various activities for children such as riding camels, holding an Arabian falcon exhibition, decorating girl students with henna, decorating the celebration site, serving popular foods and weaving the UAE flag.
The celebration was attended by the parents of students who currently joined the unit and those of students who are still in the waiting list. It was also attended by the management of the organization and its affiliated centers and a crowd of people concerned with autism in the UAE.
