Emirates ID sings a Strategic Partnership Agreement with DEWA

For the purpose of continuing its approach towards building the strategic partnerships with different governmental and private authorities, The Emirates ID signed on the day before yesterday, Tuesday, a strategic Partnership Agreement with Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA),

His Excellency Nasser Mohammed Al Mazrouei, Emirates ID’s Executive Director of Communications & Information Systems emphasized that signing the Strategic Partnership Agreement with DEWA is due to both parties’ keenness to effectively support and enhance the existing strategic partnership relations and to unify efforts for providing services to all categories of clients which will have a positive impact on the social and economic levels.

He indicated that this Strategic Partnership comes in the context of the several national initiatives implemented by the Authority through signing several memoranda of understanding and partnership and cooperation agreements with ministries, establishments and different governmental authorities with the aim of supporting registration process in the Population Register & Identity Card System.

Eng. Al Mazrouei pointed out that the Strategic Partnership Agreement with DEWA signifies that the Authority is keen to build distinguished and positive partnerships with different private and governmental authorities, stressing that the importance of national initiatives adopted by different authorities in the country lies in their actual keenness to facilitate the registration process in the Population Register & Identity Card System, as they strongly belief that this is a vital project in the comprehensive development march of the country.

Eng. Al Mazrouei emphasized that establishing the unified population registry is a national duty and commitment as it will achieve positive outcomes for the country, specially in supporting a number of our national and strategic projects, calling upon different governmental and federal authorities to activate the process of registering their employees in the identity card system and to provide all ways and possibilities that can contribute to achieve the idea successfully through following the goals set by our good leadership.

On the other hand, Eng. Marwan Salem Bin Haider, vice president of Information Technology Sector in DEWA who signed the Agreement on behalf of the Authority, said: The main goal of signing the Agreement with Emirates ID is that DEWA is keen to reach the highest rates of customer satisfaction through facilitating the procedures and approving an official source in registering customer identities, pointing out that the Authority will depend on identity card as a chief and permanent source in approving the data of customers, which will contribute to facilitating the registration process of customers through saving both time and effort.

Bin Haider indicated that DEWA decided to get use of the accurate data and information provided by the Emirates ID and connect them with the internal electronic data in a matter appropriate to the vision, goals and message of the Authority as well as developing a mechanism for implementing an integrated system for communication between both parties.
