The Emirates Identity Authority has reviewed the major themes of its strategic plan 2010-2013 on the sidelines of its participation in the UAE Students Forum in Washington, titled “Today’s Students….Tomorrow’s Leaders”, which was organized by the UAE Embassy in the United States.

The Emirates Identity Authority talked about its important role in supporting and developing the government sector and the development efforts in the UAE. It also talked about its mission, which it is seeking to achieve as embodied in contributing to the national and individual security by bolstering the personal identity, maintaining a precise population register and providing innovated electronic services in line with its vision of being the main reference for proving the personal identity and providing population data in the UAE.

The presentation made by Ayesha Al Raisi, Project Manager at the Emirates Identity Authority, focused on familiarizing the attendees with the Emirates Identity Authority’s strategic objectives, particularly registering all the UAE population, developing a secure and integrated infrastructure that allows demographic data and digital ID applications to be accessed and exchanged through two strategic projects; namely, electronic linkage with the government entities in the UAE and the establishment of the electronic certification center.

The forum, which concluded yesterday, aimed at enhancing the students’ communication with their home country through holding meetings with officials from different sectors, familiarizing the students with the job opportunities awaiting them upon their return to their home country through the job fair held on the sidelines of the forum with the participation of 18 national entities and organizations, and encouraging the students to improve their academic attainment and show perseverance to give back what we owe to our country and promote its position.

The Emirates Identity Authority’s delegation which participated in the event included Abdul Aziz Al Maamari, Director of Public Relations and Marketing, Ayesha Al Raisi, Project Manager, and Abdul Rahman Al Jabri from Registration Centers Department.
