Emirates ID publishes new scientific research in Global Journal of Computer Application and Technology

The Emirates Identity Authority has published a new scientific research titled “Targeting Results: Lessons Learned from UAE National ID Program” in the Global Journal of Computer Application and Technology.

The scientific research reviews the UAE experience in implementing the population register program and ID card project together with the key challenges that the Emirates Identity Authority faced during the implementation stages and the solutions used to overcome these challenges.

The research talks about the methods of planning and advanced management aimed at handling deviations in the implementation stages. It also talks about the methods of successful implementation of the Emirates Identity Authority’s projects as planned, the mechanisms of taking administrative decisions based on deep understanding of their effects on the short and long run and the organizational plans for managing and steering projects.

The research indicates that under the growing major investments of governments all over the world which focused on developing the infrastructures for their services, the types and forms of these population-oriented services became more complicated, urging some governments to update and adopt more advanced and developed systems.

According to the research, which is published on the Emirates Identity Authority’s website, population-related technological projects are facing considerable challenges on the way of achieving their sought-after objectives due to several factors including the economic, organizational and technical ones.
