Emirates ID participates in National Day celebrations in Umm Al Quwain

A delegation from the Emirates Identity Authority participated in the celebrations held in Umm Al Quwain yesterday to mark the 40th UAE National Day. The celebrations were organized by the federal organizations and government departments from early November under the directives and support of Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Umm Al Quwain His Highness Sheikh Saud Bin Rashid Al Mualla.

The Emirates Identity Authority’s participation in these celebrations was embodied in sponsoring the longest outdoor photo exhibition, which was launched by Umm Al Quwain Police General Headquarters in the Creek Park. The 300-meter exhibition will continue till December 4.

The Emirates Identity Authority’s delegation was led by Ismael Fadlallah Bashouri, Director of Dubai and Northern Emirates, Abdul Aziz Al Maamari, Director of Public Relations and Marketing, and Omer Al Maamari, Supervisor of Sharjah and Northern Emirates Centers.

The celebrations held in the Creek Park included a beach football tournament, which was organized by Umm Al Quwain Police General Headquarters and Ministry of Culture, Youth and Community Development’s center. The tournament, which was attended by a number of current and former national team stars including Ismael Rashid and Bakhit Saad, saw the participation of 8 teams from different government entities.

Later, Bashouri handed a token shield over to Ismael Rashid during a ceremony held to honor the participants in the tournament.

Dubai Media Incorporated’s Sama Dubai Channel also organized the longest flag across the UAE outside the Creek Park in Umm Al Quwain. The contest saw the participation of the students of Al Mualla High School for Girls and other people. The flag which came in the first place was 240 meters long.

Folkloric activities followed in which a heritage wedding and old bride accessories were displayed and gifts were distributed on the public and the participating organizations. The activities also included a free painting contest, which a number of the emirate’s children participated in.
