The Emirates Identity Authority has participated in the activities of the First Cultural Caravan for 2012, which was held under the slogan “Our Society.. Our Responsibility” in Al Waqan, Al Ain as part of its ongoing efforts for communicating with the UAE population and familiarizing the public with its mission, objectives and values.
The Emirates Identity Authority’s participation in the cultural caravan, which was inaugurated by Sheikh Zayed Bin Tahnoun Bin Mohammed Al Nahyan on February 16 and 17, underscored its ongoing keenness on supporting the efforts of the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Community Development aimed at maintaining the national identity, promoting national and social cohesion values and extending the bridges of co-operation with the other government entities, which took part in showcasing social, security, health and awareness services.
The Emirates Identity Authority’s booth attracted a number of visitors who were given introductory information on the Emirates Identity Authority’s objectives and mission together with brochures and leaflets on the ID card registration procedures.
The “Cultural Caravan” activities are aimed at achieving comprehensive cultural and social development all over the UAE through the heritage and theatrical shows that commemorate the local cultural heritage. The activities were held in Al Dhahera, Bu Kariya, Al Arrad, Al Quoa and Umm Al Zamoul, which are adjacent to Al Waqan area in Al Ain City.
The Emirates Identity Authority was represented in the event by Farooq Al Jabri, Marketing and Public Relations Administrator, and Suhaila Nasser Al Darei, Sheikha Saeed Al Darei and Hamad Ali Al Darei from Al Quoa Registration Center.
