The Emirates Identity Authority has announced the opening of 3 new service points attached to the preventive medicine centers in Sharjah. Two service points were opened in Al Ghubaiba and Al Nasseriya today (Tuesday) while the third will be opened in Kalbaa immediately after the Eid Al Adha holidays. The move comes as part of the project of linkage with preventive medicine and paves the way for the forthcoming linkage of ID card and residence procedures in Sharjah.

The Emirates ID also announced the opening of a service point attached to the Preventive Medicine Center in Fujairah City from tomorrow (Wednesday) in a bid to ease procedures for customers and as part of linking the ID card registration procedures with the residence issuance procedures which were applicable in the emirate several months ago. The Emirates ID noted that the registration capacity of its new service point exceeds 250 applicants a day.

The three new service points in Sharjah would bring to 9 the total number of service points attached to the preventive medicine centers in the emirate, the Emirates Identity Authority said. This means that the project of linkage with preventive medicine in the emirate has been completed as per the previously set plan, it added.

The total capacity of registration of all service points attached to the preventive medicine centers in Sharjah would be around 2,800 registrants per day after opening all these centers which are allocated to both men and women, the Emirates ID said.

The Emirates Identity Authority pointed out that its three new service points in Al Ghubaiba, Al Nasseriya and Kalbaa have 20 registration lines including 10 in Al Ghubaiba, 8 in Al Nasseriya and 2 in Kalbaa.

The Emirates ID clarified that the linkage of the ID card registration procedures with residence necessitates a customer to fill out the registration form at an authorized typing center before visiting a preventive medicine center for medical examination. Subsequently, a customer should go directly to the Emirates ID service point attached to the preventive medicine center to complete the ID card registration procedures (fingerprinting and photographing) and the residence issuance or renewal procedures later on, the Emirates ID added.
