Emirates ID intensifies efforts for automating all procedures

H.E. Dr. Eng. Ali Mohamed Al Khouri, Emirates ID Director General, has underlined the necessity to carry out a project for automating all procedures at all the Emirates Identity Authority’s departments, sections and centers as soon as possible.

Al Khouri called for focusing on Emiratization, which, he said, should be paid utmost attention in the upcoming period, particularly at the level of specialized technical posts. He underlined the importance of specialized training and qualification programs for preparing national cadres for taking up these posts.

This was announced during an extensive meeting with the directors of human resources, verification, purchasing, services and strategic backup office which was held at the Emirates Identity Authority’s headquarters in Abu Dhabi. The meeting, which was presided over by Al Khouri, was attended by a number of heads of sections and the employees of the said departments.

Urging all the Emirates Identity Authority’s departments to complete the automation of procedures as per a specific timeline, Al Khouri expressed his optimism that the Emirates Identity Authority would be one of the UAE’s top most distinguished organizations in the field of electronic practices.

Al Khouri noted that it is necessary to use as little paper as possible in all administrative transactions conducted by all the Emirates Identity Authority’s departments. He pointed out that automating procedures would contribute to bringing the amount of the paper used to a minimum in line with the Emirates Identity Authority’s orientations and keenness on effectively consolidating the concept of “green environment.”

Al Khouri pointed out that the Emirates Identity Authority’s approach is based on continuous improvement and development, underscoring the necessity to make the equation of integrating the world’s best practices and the simplest procedures with the aim of providing the most distinguished qualitative services in a creative and innovated manner.

He clarified that all the supporting jobs at the Administrative Affairs and Relations Department should support the major tasks of the Emirates Identity Authority and the general objectives stated in its new strategy 2010-2013 as per a flexible package of laws and regulations that serve the interest of work and upgrade performance.
